What to do in August in Provence? Autumn is a privileged season to discover Provence. The still mild temperatures are the opportunity to walk in the vineyards, by bike, on foot or by car. Richerendes Truffle Market – Starting Saturday, November 19, 2016
to March, it brings together truffle professionals and amateurs around conferences, exhibitions, sales stands and tasting and demonstrations of cavage with truffle dogs. Festival Autumn evenings in Carpentras – November 10th to 20th 2016
This itinerant festival offers concerts of world music in Carpentras and the surrounding villages (Caromb, Mazan, Le Barroux, Vacqueyras and Malaucène). Film screenings and animations for children are also on the program.

Foire aux santons et artisanat in Sorgues – From 19 to 20 November 2016 from 9 am to 6 pm

The santons of Provence are small figurines in clay depicting figures of the crib. Very colorful, they are traditionally decorated by hand. The fair in the santons of Sorgue is an opportunity for visitors to discover the work of the santonniers and craftsmen and to bring back an original gift in the colors of Provence. Numerous events punctuate this event: demonstrations of Provençal songs, parades of living santons and gourmet stands with many local products.

This festive and convivial meeting is the opportunity to discover the AOC Côtes du Rhône wines, primeurs and vintages. A route dedicated to the Côtes du Rhône wines in the pedestrian streets allows to discover the city and the animations. Many winegrowers and wine merchants are present to explain their wines and to make visitors taste the result of years of work and love of the trade. A parade of brotherhoods is also on the program.
