Passion Horse in Avignon – January 18th to 22nd 2017

It is one of the most important salons on the horse in France. More than 1200 horses and their riders meet for a week at the Parc Expo d’Avignon with a program of competitions, demonstrations and shows, the most important of which is the Gala des Crinières d’Or, a major art scene Riding in Europe. Roquemaure’s Lovers’ Day – February 10th to 12th
The Roquemaure lovers’ festival is intimately linked to the vineyard. In 1868, the Bishop of Nîmes reported to Roquemaure the relics of Saint-Valentin to help the winegrowers to cross the Phylloxera crisis and watch over the city. A great feast in honor of the saint is given. It is to celebrate again Valentin who watches over the city that for more than 25 years takes place the festival of lovers and the kiss to Roquemaure. The Festivities revolve around a true 19th-century historical re-enactment, with street parades and street entertainment, an old-fashioned market and barrel organ concerts. Every year, the festival welcomes nearly 20,000 people. In France, it is one of the first events in terms of attendance for Valentine’s Day.
